Keene - The Little Music Festival that Could: Coming soon to a downtown near you: 10th Annual Keene Music Festival. This year's event is bigger and better, featuring more musicians than ever before. More than 80 bands and solo performers have donated their time and talent to make the 10th annual Keene Music Festival a wonderful day filled with fun for the entire family. Along with the performances along Main Street, additional acts are performing at our sister event, the annual Art in the Park, occurring at Ashuelot Park on West Street. Keene - A scenic motorcycle ride followed by a chicken bbq, live bands, outdoor games, fun and prizes to raise money for Joy's Network, a NH non profit dedicated to cancer patients and their families throughout the Monadnock Region.   2nd Saturday Contra Dance in Nelson NH
Nelson - Lisa Sieverts will call to music by Carey Bluhm and Gordon Peery at the Nelson Second Saturday Contra Dance on February 13th. Lisa appears regularly at the Nelson Monday contra dances and serves on the board of the Monadnock Folklore Society. Gordon Peery's piano playing is often described as not only 'orchestral,' but also 'wildly exciting.' Dr. Carey Bluhm of Fitzwilliam mixes southern and northern fiddling styles with equal aplomb. The dance opens with a new dancer orientation at 7:30 PM, and dancing begins at 8:00 PM. Beginners and singles are welcome and all dances are taught throughout the evening.   Antrim Home & Harvest Festival
Antrim - The Antrim Home & Harvest Festival begins Saturday morning with an old fashioned church breakfast, followed by a parade down Main Street, a soap box derby, corn on the cob eating contest, arts & crafts booths, children's games, a 'pumpkin regatta' (duck race with pumpkins), pony rides, a freestyle skateboard contest, music throughout the day and concluding with a chicken BBQ, more music and fireworks. One of the highlights of the festival is the Antrim Can/Am Slalom Championships, a slalom skateboard racing event which is one of the largest of its kind in North America and attracts racers from throughout the US and Canada. Free admission for all events; food additional.
